You must have a valid driving license, log book, MOT, insurance, Passport and E111 health card with breakdown insurance highly recommended.

Are there any restrictions on the type of vehicle other than it must be over 10 years old?
Other than the 10yr age limit the choice is yours.

What happens at the last minute if I find that I cannot go?
All participants have to pay the full £150 per person entrance fee, in the event of cancellation or non-participation your deposit will not be refunded but donated in full to the charity.

What happens if I breakdown en route?
Breakdown insurance is recommended. All teams are expected to help and assist other teams to the best of their ability. You are asked to ensure that your team carries essential spares. i.e. fan belt, spare wheel (inc. jack and brace), bulbs, oils, water and spark plugs. We recommend that a full service is carried out before departure to include timing belt. (as we found out to our cost in 2007 - see gallery).

Can I bring the kids?
Extra cost will be incurred for things like camping, ferry, etc. Please be aware that this trip is organised for adults - choice words, drinking, late nights are the order of the day. You have been warned.

Do I have to camp or can I use hotels etc?
No. As organisers, we need to keep the group together for the evening beer, BBQ and banter as this is a major part of the trip.

Do we drive as a convoy?
Once your day’s destination had been issued, you are free to choose your route, depart and drive at your own pace or in convoy. Your choice, last year we were in 3 small convoys all looking after each other.

As we are visiting Nürburg, can we visit and drive the Nürburgring?
Any teams wishing to chance the Nürburgring do so at their own risk. The Hospice Roadtrip take absolutely NO responsibility for anything that happens in connection with the Nürburgring. Please see our Rules and Regulations for our full disclaimer.
