The Hospice Roadtrip 2010
What are we doing?
We are going to drive through 5 countries, in 5 days in vehicles that are more then 10 years old! We will be camping along the way to keep costs to a minimum. We shall be driving into Belgium on Day 1, then onto Amsterdam for Night 2 where we shall hit the town until the early hours! When we finally arise we shall proceed to the fabulous German town of Nürburg. Home to the infamous motor-racing track - the Nürburgring. We will then spend Day 4 at leisure in and around Nürburg (last year we all went tobogganing - see the gallery page) and then out for a meal. On the last day we shall make the return drive back to Blighty and your own bed. This event is open to anyone (almost) - whether you are just two mates up for a laugh and can raise money for charity or a large company looking for a challenging and alternative team building event where everyone benefits. When are we doing it!
We embark on our adventure on Monday 3rd May 2010 (Bank Holiday) to Friday 7th May 2010. We leave from St. Barnabas Hospice in Worthing, at approx 09.00 hrs (usually the Mayor of Worthing starts the Roadtrip) and head to Dover for a morning crossing to Europe and then on to our first overnight stay in deepest Belgium.
How much will it cost?
An entrance fee of £150 per person is required. This money covers your return ferry crossings for your car and passengers, campsite fees, administration costs etc. Personal costs that are not included are such things as petrol, food and refreshments etc...
How much do I have to Raise?
We have set the very achievable fundraising target for each team at £2000. Although this may seem a large amount of money to raise we will supply each team with fundraising ideas, support and advice.
How do I raise that amount?
The primary method of raising funds on this adventure is to sell sponsorship vinyls to cover your chariot in. The corporate sponsors are then getting something for their money which is always easier to sell. We will give you a list of vehicle graphic suppliers to aid you.
